Week 24, 2025 – It’s all too fast and too slow at once
This was an intense week –
- End of season party for the Colts
- Türkiye vs. Mexico soccer game in NC
- Marching forward on business ideas for small businesses
- Last Harbor Middle School talent show
- End of season soccer tournament
- Father’s Day adventures in mini-golf and hibachi grill
and non-stop building for SHSAT Buddy – my new startup. None of it happens fast enough, but it’s also all happening too fast. It’s a really strange feeling.
We were in NC for 40 hours. I got to see Tucker’s new house which was amazing. We swam in my mom’s pool. The boys did a sauna. The soccer game itself was spectacular. There’s a quality of play at the national team level that defies reality. It’s a truly wonderful thing to watch. Until you’re team dominates the game, and loses 0-1 on a goal where no one plays defense.
My favorite parts of this week were all of the little moments though. Getting an amazing team photograph from the Colts. Luka giving me a statuette that he 3D-printed of a father and son together. The way Amelia just wants to exist around us right now.
Those moments allow time to slow down a bit. There’s less anxiety to figure things out. Just more of an opportunity to be.
This was a good week. It’s probably been a month of neutral weeks which is what motivated me to come back and start writing. Because remembering the good ones is so damn important. Anyway, bedtime, and on to the next one.
